The Ramsdell Theater Presents
Wordsmith Workshop
No matter your experience or style, the Wordsmith Workshop welcomes you to our bi-monthly gathering where we discuss and practice our craft. Each meeting will focus on a specific topic that poets and authors alike can explore to expand their understanding of the medium and the breadth of their own skills. Iron sharpens iron, as one writer sharpens another.
How to attend
On the first and third Saturdays of every month from 12 to 2 PM, the Wordsmith Workshop meets in the conference room of the Ramsdell Theater. This can be accessed through the side door on First Street, just down the stairs. For accessible access, you can be let in through the front door with a ramp to use the elevator.
Submit to our community chapbook!
To celebrate and showcase the incredible talent in our community, we're putting together a chapbook of poetry, flash fiction, short stories, and more from the folks in Manistee County and the surrounding area. In collaboration with the Armory Youth Project, we will also be featuring works from the youth of our community! To be a part of this project, use the link to submit. Priority will be given to submissions from attendees of the Wordsmith Workshop at the Ramsdell and the Short Story Writing Workshop at the Armory.
